Associations Overview
In addition to doing quite a lot of songwriting, Steve also gets involved in doing backing vocals and coaching. Sometimes it can be quite difficult to put the products of these efforts into separate categories to describe them to fans because they often overlap.
For example, Nik Kershaw and Steve worked together to write some songs, one of which is found on Steve's "All I Am" album, and then Steve also sang backing vocals on Nik's album "To Be Frank".
So in an effort to try to make it easier, we have put the following things in "associations":
- Songs that Steve has written or co-written, which are performed by another artist (such as "Because of You" sung by Meat Loaf)
- Songs / albums where Steve is not the lead singer, but does backing vocals (such as Nik Kershaw's "To Be Frank" album)
- Artists that Steve has coached (such as Verena - and he also sang backing vocals on some tracks on her album)
- Other artist's albums or compilation albums which feature others singing, but do feature Steve singing lead on at least one track (such as Mars Lasar's "Collaborations" CD which has Steve singing two tracks he wrote with Mars, or Andy Kinch's "Andy's Diner" CD
- People Steve has worked with as co-writers (such as Ben "Jammin" Robbins)
In other words, anything that is not one of Steve's bands, projects, solo works or musicals which may feature him coaching, writing , doing backing vocals or singing on someone else's album will be put in this section.
