As a Solo Artist

Not long after Steve started performing at the Lyceum in Jesus Christ Superstar, he was spotted by a record company and subsequently signed a deal to pursue a solo pop career on the Columbia label.

His debut solo album was entitled "All I Am" featuring many songs which Steve had written, as well as the introspective "I Don't Know Why" written by Shawn Colvin.

The album is full of perfect pop ballads featuring lush instrumentation and exquisite vocals. There is also a wonderful hidden track located at the end of the "Hollow Tree" track, an up tempo offering entitled "Don't Fade on Me".

Shawn had originally released this song as a single in 1993 and it can also be found on her album "Fat City" and her current Greatest Hits CD . On the "All I Am" album, Shawn performed the song as a duet with Steve.

An iInteresting point to note, copies of the sheet music for the "Sugar For the Soul" and "All I Am is You" singles are available in the Spring 2002 and Autumn 2002 editions of the SMASH! music books.

The singles "Sugar for the Soul" and "All I Am Is You" also feature additional tracks not available on the album. (Please note that I have left the plastic boxes on the scanned images so you can see the stickers that were on them. If your copy doesn't have a sticker, it may not be in its original box, or the sticker may have been removed.)

"Sugar For the Soul" also includes the tracks "I Fall Awake" and "Out There" as well as the video for SFTS on the CD. It was available on cassette with the three songs on it (no video, of course!) The cassette is in a cardboard sleeve only, without a plastic box.

"All I Am is You" also includes the tracks "Stay" and "One Little Wish". It was also available on cassette with the same tracks.

The album and the two singles are the official releases, however if you are a collector or completist fan, you may also like to learn about the more rare items which we have learned of.
